Sometimes there’s just too much pop culture to go around.  And sometimes, one site just isn’t enough to cover it.  So just like in the Avengers, when there comes a day where the need is too much for one entity to talk shop about a topic, two websites will come together to save the day.  And that’s how Moron vs Fanboy was born.

Thanks But No Thanks Productions’ popular website Moron Life has worked with Derek McCaw’s Fanboy Planet site for various productions, most notably The Fanboy Planet Podcast among others, so it only seemed fitting that the two sites come together for this latest show.  Moron vs Fanboy is a weekly video talk show for the web with a focus on pop culture and all things geeky.

Lon Lopez teams up with Derek McCaw for a healthy banter that ranges from the intelligent to the absurd but the ultimate goal is to be entertaining.  The show is broken up into three segments: A cover story, The “Vs” segment where Lon and Derek go head to head on a debatable topic and then they honor a person of interest for what they affectionately call, the “Geek of the Week.”

MvF is produced by Lopez and directed by Rudy Loyda with Dave McGuire as segment producer and David Tapia as assistant segment producer.
